A place to…Believe, Belong, and Become
Operation Christmas Child Boxes are here! They are located as you enter the breezeway through the outside door. They were given to us so take as many as you want to fill.
We are finishing strong! Don’t forget to complete your prayer time during the next three days. About 45 of us have been praying during this Prayer Vigil.
The second location has changed. Instead of the Daily Walk classroom, it will be the Men’s classroom downstairs.
Don’t forget – Psalms Journey will be in concert here Saturday (September 19) at 6:00 pm! http://www.PsalmsJourney.com
Frank Banda’s A/C went out. $1800 needed to replace it. Give as God leads you.
Attached you will find materials to assist you in your time in prayer. If you are coming to the church for your time of prayer, the location will be moved during times the Worship Center is in use. The second location is the Daily Walk classroom. The relocation will be from 4:00 pm Saturday, September 19th through 12:30 pm Sunday, September 20th and 7:00 am through 12:30 pm Sunday, September 27th.

Greetings, Blessed Children of God! We are calling you to join us in “Intercession: Standing in the Gap for Your World,” First Baptist Church’s prayer vigil and fast from September 18 to September 27. With all the civil unrest and the pandemic, we as Christians need to be more mindful of praying for the world. Think of it as your world: start with your family, then your church, your community, your state, your nation, and then your world. It will run from 7a.m. to 7p.m. each day and you can sign up for one or two thirty-minute time slot(s). If you wish, you may sign up for the same time slot every day for the entire ten days. The goal of the Intercessory Prayer Team is to have at least one person praying during every time slot for the entire vigil. While we encourage you to come to the Church for your prayer time, we understand that in this time of COVID, you may prefer to do your prayers from home. If that is your choice, we strongly encourage you to set up a place where you will not have any distractions. Once we have the schedule filled out, we will send out a completed schedule to the membership so that you will have a reminder of when you are praying and the rest of the members can be praying for you as well. In addition, once we have at least one person signed up for a time slot, we will gladly accept additional names to fill that slot. To sign up for the vigil, please call Pam Young at 432-413-3205.
Don’t Forget to Remember…
1. Baptism Sunday on September 13 (contact Marty if you need to experience believer’s baptism) and observance of the Lord’s Supper.
2. Update from the Dr. Geoffrey Moses family during worship on September 13.
3 Call to Prayer and Fasting, September 18-27 (sign up sheets available to pray in 30-minute time slots from 7 am to 7 pm each day).
