Dear FBCE Family,
I am so glad I believe in the one true God who sees the end from the beginning! Since we never know what the future will hold, make sure you know the One who holds the future!
In light of the increased number of cases across Texas and even here in Concho County, we will suspend all "in person" services effective immediately (that includes this Sunday, June 28) until August. We will return to LiveStreaming our services via Facebook and hope you will let us know if you need assistance with having that capability on your smartphone or computer. ( Teresa – 450-7279)
We will mention this during this Sunday’s service, but please be prepared to celebrate the Lord’s Supper "virtually" next Sunday, July 5, during our LiveStreamed service (get your symbol of the body and blood of Jesus ready before 10:45 am, July 5, and join with us).
During this mild return to limited activity, I hope and pray we will all keep one another in mind, checking on our church family and neighbors in the spirit of Jesus and with His love. Please contact the church staff or church office (office hours are 1:00 – 5:00 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays) if we can be of service to you.
To God be the glory, great things He IS doing!
Enjoying the Journey,
Fidget Quilt Team
Good afternoon! For Mission Eden, one group will be making fidget lap quilts for residents in the Alzheimer’s Unit at Concho Health and Rehab. We will meet on Monday, June 29th at 9 AM in the fellowship to begin our project. We will pool our supplies and create multiple lap quilts ~ similar to an old-fashioned sewing circle. If you have any of the following supplies, please bring them with you on Monday.
Portable sewing machine
Colorful/Coordinating Fabric- different prints and textures are ideal
Ribbon- grosgrain or satin
Buttons of all shapes and sizes
Any tactile item that can be affixed to a quilt
Rotary cutter and mat
Even if you don’t sew or don’t have a machine, come join us. There will be plenty to do. If you have some of the above supplies, but can’t be there on Monday, you may leave them in the fellowship hall on Sunday. I will put a sign on a table where they can be left.
Please pass this information on to anyone who might want to join us in “Serving Our Community”
Marty continues his series “Dangerous Prayers” this Sunday.
Continue to pray for our country and leaders.
Since we will not be going to serve at Across Nations/Hilltop Christian School this summer, we are working on details for a
“Mission Eden” missions week at the end of June. Keep watch for more details soon.
